Poisoned

“A Caged Rose”

Spring kisses the end of winter
A blossom of love blooms in a mere rose
No traces of past love splinters

A rose of life waiting to love
For its petals to kiss a caring nose
Spring kisses the end of winter

A hand comes to the petals of the rose of winter
Gently stokes the sides as the flower arose
No traces of past love splinters

He whispers sweet words that the flower hinters
The rose opens her petals to show
Spring kisses the end of winter

He gazes at her petals that show her stories of winter
He places a poison, the petals close
Traces of past love splinters

She struggles in the bite of winter
A cage with thorns arose trapping the love of the rose
Winter kisses the end of spring
 Traces of past love splinters
